We were never
the headliners.
We threw parties before we knew what throwing a party meant. Then life split us up: one stayed in Amsterdam, one ended up playing in Madrid, the third never left Valencia. Three years later we found out we were playing the same records.
CASA is a party built backwards: the sound first, the room after and only then the line-up. Afro house is not the genre we programme — it is how we understand the night.
Four winters of clubs with no clock: six-hour sets, systems that play quiet and still fill the room, and the idea that a night is programmed like a record, not like a bill.
The production school: how you fill a room on a Tuesday, how you build community before audience and how you look after whoever walks in.
The one who stayed kept the room warm. The city has the best electronic history in Spain and one obvious gap: nowhere fixed where organic afro house is the centre.
